Thumper is turning heads with its crazy gameplay. The new rhythm and violence game is spicing the genre up for a wild ride. It takes a different approach in music games by conveying the intensity of the gameplay well (hence the phrase “rhythm and violence” vs rhythm and action). Immediately you’ll notice the crazy visuals going on. As with most music games you’ll end up having to hit markers with the approaching rhythmic elements.
Music game fans will feel some elements of Taiko Drum Master and Rhythm Heaven. Not only will you have to use audio cues to know whats coming up, but also foresee things visually before they come to you. This is especially true when you factor in Thumper With PlayStation VR. Yes, Thumper is getting a enthralling PlayStation VR experience. Ever since the announcement we’ve seen the hilarity come from comments with interesting speculation on how it could be. Those boss battles will be even more intimidating.
Thumper PlayStation VR Gameplay Will Blow Minds
It’s somewhat hard to explain the gameplay without showing it. Playing and even watching the game may feel like a 200mph joyride with an impending crash at any moment in error. Imagine having your friends or family over and telling them “Here, play this” while handing them a PSVR headset. We’re really curious to see the array of reactions that comes from first time PlayStation VR gameplay sessions of Thumper.
